The Tap

The building that The Tap occupies was built in the early 1900's and was an actual train depot until its movement from Waller, Texas to College Station in the early seventies. It was several restaurants and dance clubs until it was remodeled into The Tap in 1990.

Initially The Tap just served beer and wine. Booze was added in 1993.

The Tap has served over 24 tons of free peanuts since 1990.

The Tap added a full kitchen in 2000 that features over 50 items. Check out the menu. The Tap serves great food from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 a.m. Monday through Saturday (no lunch on Saturday).

The bar choices are endless. Fully stocked liquors, beers (both import and domestic), wine, champagne, and frozen drinks insure we've got what you need.

What else about the joint: Well we've got darts, pool tables, NTN trivia, dominoes, darts, two huge porches, occasional live music, and a piano bar. We've got 30 something t.v.s for your sporting needs. The bar choices are endless. Fully stocked liquors, beers, wine, champagne, and a helluva Frozen Margarita. We made Playboy magazine in 2002 for girls of the BIG 12 featuring our own bartender Mary Beth. Finally, we open up Mon.-Fri. at 11:00 a.m. for lunch, so swing on by and get your grub on.
