About Us
The building that The Tap occupies was built in the early 1900's and was an actual train depot until its movement from Waller, Texas to College Station in the early seventies. It was several restaurants and dance clubs until it was remodeled into The Tap in 1990.
Initially The Tap just served beer and wine. Booze was added in 1993.
The Tap has served over 24 tons of free peanuts since 1990.
The Tap added a full kitchen in 2000 that features over 50 items. Check out the menu. The Tap serves great food from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday you can come out at happy hour get some food and enjoy some great drink specials.
The bar choices are endless. Fully stocked liquors, beers (both import and domestic), wine, champagne, we've got what you need.
What else about the joint: Well we've got darts, pool tables, NTN trivia, dominoes, touch screen, arcade bowling, and big buck hunter. We also have two huge porches for you to light up your cigs or just to hang out on, occasional live music, and a piano bar with Russel and Mike. We've got 30 something plasma t.v.s for your sporting needs and two sport tickers to give you up to date action. We made Playboy magazine in 2002 for girls of the BIG 12, so we have some hot bartenders come by and check them out. Finally, we open up Mon.-Fri. at 11:00 a.m. for lunch, so swing on by and get your grub on.
